Featured Project - old

We transformed a failing commercial structure into a modern multi-unit camelback shotgun.

After purchasing the once abandoned concrete and steel commercial building in 2013, we designed 3 residential units into it with our Architectural company MAC Design, LLC (3D model here), and renovated the property with our construction company MAC Build, LLC.

With several variances from the City and State, and through an FHA loan we gutted the 1971 warehouse that was once used to make Mardi Gras floats. Considerable time was invested in relatively unique design and construction techniques. To raise the 1st floor above flood elevation we added another slab on top of Styrofoam.  The building was zero-lot-line and had very little space to store materials. We leased land from our neighbors to do work on the building and staged the construction to facilitate crane access for adding the 3rdfloor.

Unique answers

From abandoned or severely blighted properties (commercial or residential), to interior retrofits, we can handle it all. Our experience comes from years of practicing architecture, managing construction, and developing our own portfolio of rental property, most of which we designed and built ourselves.

Value

Having worked for Real Estate Developers, and being one ourselves, we realize the intricate nature of Financing, Design, Construction, and Asset Management. We would like to help others achieve their goals and bring their property to their full potential.
